Chrysler supplied these from the factory on super heavy duty applications such as police cars, etc.
This heavy duty cable bolts to the engine block on the top, and the K-member on the bottom, so that if the rubber engine mount (insulator) should fail for any reason, the cable will restrict the engine movement and prevent any damage.
With the super powerful stroker setups many of us are now running, installing one of these is a no brainer, no matter what type of engine mounts you are using.
