MRE - Truck Driveshaft Assembly - 7260
Fits: Truck 7260 Driveshafts

Dodge truck utilize a longer driveshaft than cars, so the normal 3" tube will vibrate.

To understand what you will need to make the right choice for your driveshaft.  Below is the criteria needed for the correct driveshaft for your truck

Rear Gear Ratio:

Rear Tire Diameter:

Driveshaft Length:

For example a 67-1/2" driveshaft at that length will have the following critical speeds pending size.

3.5" Steel - 4,291 Rpm

4.0" Steel - 4,919 Rpm

3.5" Alum - 4,598 Rpm

4.0" Alum - 5,278 Rpm

If the driveline speed matches the driveshaft speed then you would have a potential driveshaft failure extremely fast.  Getting close to these speed will cause the driveshaft to jump rope and will create a significant vibration.
